Labour Medical Checkup for Factory and Site Workers
A labour medical checkup is a short onsite screening for workers — vitals, vision, blood sugar, a doctor's examination and role-based tests — run at your plant, warehouse, construction site or labour camp. Plan My Health brings the doctor, technicians and equipment so workers do not lose a shift.
Records are tagged by contractor, so the principal employer and every contractor can see fitness status and due dates for their own workers.

What the checkup covers
- Height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, pulse and random blood sugar
- Vision, plus colour vision for operators and drivers
- Clinical examination with focus on fitness for heavy work, height and machinery
- Haemoglobin and other blood tests where the doctor advises
- Hearing, lung function or chest X-ray for workers exposed to noise or dust
- Fitness opinion and next due date for each worker
Built for a mobile, multilingual workforce
We counsel workers in Hindi and, where team members are available, Marathi, Bengali, Odia and other languages. Summaries can be printed or sent by WhatsApp. For high-churn sites we fix a recurring camp day so every new joiner is screened before starting risky work.
For construction sites, see also our health checkup for construction workers page, which covers BOCW expectations.
Legal references on this page are general guidance. Exact requirements depend on your state factory rules, the processes you run and your headcount, so we confirm the applicable rules for each site before we propose a scope.
How we scope a labour medical checkup camp
- Short call with HR or EHS to understand headcount, shifts, processes and existing arrangements
- Site walk-through (in person or on video) to see hazards, space and access
- Written proposal with scope, staffing, schedule and price — nothing bundled you did not ask for
- Mobilisation with a named coordinator for your account
- Digital records and due-date tracking in the Plan My Health platform
Medical governance
- Qualified MBBS doctors lead every clinical service; AFIH-qualified doctors are deployed where a process requires one.
- Trained nurses (GNM, BSc or ANM) and paramedics work under doctor oversight and written protocols.
- Clinical oversight: reports and fitness opinions are reviewed by a doctor, with escalation for abnormal results.
- Confidentiality: individual health records are shared only with the employee; HR receives aggregate data and the fitness opinions a role legally needs.
- Data privacy: records are stored digitally with access limited by role.
Frequently asked questions
Can the camp run in the evening at the labour colony?
Yes. Many sites prefer early-morning or evening camps so work is not interrupted.
Do workers get their own report?
Yes. Each worker receives a short summary, and workers with abnormal results are counselled and referred.
Who sees the individual medical results?
Employees see their own results. Management receives anonymised summaries and the fitness opinions the law requires for specific roles. Anything more is shared only with the employee's consent, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
