Office first aid and BLS
First Aid and BLS Training for Corporate Offices
First aid training for a corporate office focuses on BLS — recognising cardiac arrest, starting CPR and using an AED — plus choking, fainting, seizures, panic attacks and minor injuries, delivered to floor wardens and volunteers in your own office. Each floor ends up with people who can act in the first minutes.
Office emergencies are rare, which is exactly why people freeze. Short, hands-on practice is what breaks that.

What office teams learn
- Recognising cardiac arrest and starting CPR without hesitation
- AED use on a training unit — where your AED is, how to open it, how to follow its prompts
- Choking in adults, fainting, seizures and diabetic emergencies
- Panic attacks and how to support a distressed colleague
- Burns from pantry accidents, cuts and sprains
- Calling for help and guiding the ambulance crew through the building
Floor warden and volunteer coverage
We map trained people per floor and per shift, including late-shift and weekend teams in operations floors. The register shows HR and facilities where cover is thin.
AED readiness
Training works only if the AED is charged, visible and reachable. We check AED placement, signage and pad expiry during the visit and include it in the report.
Office compliance and wellbeing angle
State Shops and Establishments laws and fire safety rules expect first aid facilities and emergency preparedness. Beyond compliance, confident first responders on each floor are part of a workplace where people feel looked after, alongside mental health and respectful-workplace initiatives.
Legal references on this page are general guidance. Exact requirements depend on your state rules, the work you carry out and your headcount, so we confirm the applicable rules for each site before we propose a scope.
Formats for busy offices
Full BLS sessions run in a meeting room in small batches. Short awareness sessions can be added to a town hall or a wellness week, and online refreshers keep skills in mind between hands-on sessions.
How we scope office first aid training
- Short call with HR, EHS or the project manager to understand headcount, shifts and existing arrangements
- Site or office walk-through (in person or on video) to see the actual layout, access routes and risks
- Written proposal with scope, staffing, schedule and price — nothing bundled that you did not ask for
- Mobilisation, induction into your site rules and a named coordinator for the account
- Monthly review with digital records in the Plan My Health platform
Frequently asked questions
How long is the office BLS session?
A hands-on BLS and first aid session usually takes a few hours; awareness talks are much shorter.
Can it be done online?
Awareness can be online, but CPR and AED practice needs manikins in the room.
Do participants get certificates?
Yes, a Plan My Health training certificate for each participant who completes the practical.
Do we need an AED in the office?
It is not universally mandated, but it is strongly recommended for large offices. We can advise on placement.
Can you train employees in several cities?
Yes, through trainers in the cities we serve.
