- Sterile dressings and gauze pads of different sizes
- Adhesive bandages and roller bandages
- Triangular bandages and safety pins
- Antiseptic solution or wipes
- Disposable gloves
- Scissors and tweezers
- Burn dressing
- Eye wash and eye pads
- CPR face shield or pocket mask
- Cotton wool and adhesive tape
- First aid instruction leaflet
- Record book for treatments given
Monthly inspection
- Items complete and in date
- Box clean, dry and sealed
- Inspector's name and date recorded
- Used items replaced
Placement
- Visible and easy to reach on every floor or work area
- Signposted, with the first-aider's name and phone nearby
- Extra boxes for remote or high-risk areas
